BILLINGHAM-f-Stop

Newest in the Billingham line-up, the f-Stop range is actually an update of a bag in the Billingham line several years ago. This handsome bag is much deeper ( front to rear ) than many other bags, meant to accommodate DSLR’s with a more robust body than many of the slimmer cameras in the market. This means that you can put a large bodied camera, with lens attached right into the bag, and still have room to reach down and grab it when you need to…extremely quick access. This is a relatively simple bag, meant to hold a good amount of gear, and yet still stay close to the body, and look good at the same time. Billingham has introduced a new leather trim color, Chocolate, which works really well with the Khaki canvas version.

Billingham f-Stop Range 1.4 & 2.8

The first thing you’ll notice about both f Stop models is the distinctive ‘ squared-off ‘ look, which is created by the insertion of a pleat on either side of the main flap. Look inside and you’ll find a secondary, padded lid that’s tailored to keep the elements out. Both models are constructed of new Billingham material, FibreNyte, which is a combination of the traditional Billingham canvas, strengthened with a mix of nylon. On the exterior front of the bag ( Model f1.4 ) is a large ( 10 inch wide x 7 inch high ) dump pocket, perfect for cords, cables, connectors, etc. Once inside the main compartment, both models come with a removable hard base, amply padded. Two vertical dividers also come with each bag. Both can be placed in any position in the bag, and allow for an infinite interior configuration. ( See photos ) In addition, there is an interior rear pocket, with the same dimensions as the outside , which is fully padded, again, for a variety of accessories.

The rear of the bag has a full length zip compartment, and is ideal for passport, notebook, wallet, or other essential gear where quick access as well as security is important. Both the 1.4 as well as the 2.8 will take Avea side pockets, and, although the Avea 3 will fit, the Avea 5 is a more size appropriate version esthetically.

Two “ D “ holes are cut into the front closure leather and will accept the Billingham Tripod Straps.
