The material used in ewa housings is a multi layered PVC material. All seams are electrostatically sealed, which is a process using extreme pressure and heat. Ewa housings and capes are both UV as well as IR resistant. Each and every ewa housing is hand tested prior to leaving the factory. The Front Port of all ewa housings utilizes Optical Glass, case hardened, and optically neutral. This ensures that the high quality of your lenses optics maximize their full utility. Many of our competitors use Plexiglass, or PVC, certainly an inferior way to capture brilliant images, especially underwater. The closure rail used for ewa housings is of a specially designed contoured surface, which firmly grips the PVC material, insuring that no water, dust, or debris comes through. It is corrosion resistant, and manufactured of aircrqaft strength aluminum. Thumb screws tighten the closure rail to the housing.
