Lifting back the ample top protective flap reveals two extra-large (7 inches wide x 10 inches high) front zip pockets, ideal for cords, connectors, batteries, memory devices, etc. Two additional built-in pockets (5 inches high x 7 inches high) with secure snap closures are on either side of the bag. A bit smaller. they nevertheless can carry lots of gear, such as an extra lens or flash, water bottle, or cell phone. We suggest using a Billingham Simply to keep the lens protected.

A double zip accesses the bag’s removable interior, which is thickly padded with closed cell foam, which will not decompose over time, an important consideration when expensive gear is involved. The interior insert also has a padded top, which gives added protection in case anything falls on top of the bag itself. Vertical dividers, two full upright, and two flap dividers allow for almost any configuration of gear. A full length and height zip compartment is on the rear of the bag, and is ideal for passport, magazine, notebook, smaller laptop computers, etc.

A built-in waist strap is included with the Packington, and aids in keeping the bag close to the body when extra security is needed. Three point tabs allow the use of the backpack harness. 4 brass feet protect the leather trim on the bottom of the bag.
