Hahnel’s Twin -V chargers are true dual chargers, not a single charger going into two separate leads. What this means is that two Lithium Ion batteries can be charged at the same time, independent of each other. As soon as either battery reaches full charge, the mode of charge is automatically changed to “ trickle “, maintaining full charge status. Built in circuitry guards against overheating. An LCD display indicates the following :

•Battery Assessment

•Charging

•Full Charge

•Battery Defect

•5 Stage charge indicator ( 20%-100% )

•Battery tester ( which can be used “ in the field “ that is, unplugged.

In addition, it is possible to charge two different batteries from the same manufacturer as long as the these batteries have the same contact point ( pin ) configuration. The Twin V features two ( 2 ) displays, one for each battery being charged

Charge time is under 1 hour for a single battery, and just under 2 hours for 2 batteries, depending on battery capacity. A multi-voltage switch allows 100-240 volt world wide use. A 12 volt car charge adaptor is included.

An important additional feature is that, as Camera manufacturers introduce new batteries, rather than having to purchase a new charger for these new batteries, hahnels’ interchangeable plate system allows for the purchase of a new charge plate only ! This represents a rather large savings to the consumer.
