The heart of the Rotolight System, the RL 48B, is a professional HD Ringlight system, designed for DSLR as well as Video cameras. The “heart“ of the light is a series of 48 LED lights.

The RL 48 provides warm, shadowless, continuous, natural color, and is dimmable over 1.5 stops by using an ingeneous series of neutral density filters. In addition, a kit of filters ( all filters are manufactured by Lee ) give color correction of 3200K, 4300K, 5600K, and 6300K. All filters fit into the body of the RL 48 when not in use.

Powered by 3 AA batteries, which can give up to 4 hours of continuous use, the RL 48 mounts to your DSLR or Video camera via it’s simple but sturdy mounting stand, which includes a mount as well as an accessory shoe mount. As a bonus, the center circle ( left when the mounting stand is not in use ) fits perfectly onto most of the consumer microphones available through a variety of manufacturers.

With a beam angle of 110 degrees, and it’s matt black finish, the Rotolight RL 48 provides evenly balanced lighting. Solid state circuitry, a rubberized finish, a weather resistent on/off button, and extreme light weight makes the RL 48 a pleasure to use.
